CONDITIONS

More to enjoy when you can see it from the right vantage point.

Winter conditions can stress outdoor flooring applications.

Cycles of cold, freeze-thaw, expansion and contraction, exert forces internally and externally within outdoor flooring materials causing break-down and failure.
Entrapped moisture is the culpret. In cold conditions, the moisture expands applying forces to the surfaces around it. By eliminating moisture and absorbing forces, the damaged is halted. DexSystems® Outdoor Floor Systems™ provides this solution through a combination of system components. The GratedeX® and PierdeX® underlayment panels are open celled and inert to moisture providing free drainage. The Hold-Tite® adhesive provides a permanent flexible bond absorbing stress forces. And the open groutless joints allow moisture to migrate away from all surfaces. No longer are there problems with cold climate applications of thin gauges stone or tile regardless of the temperature extremes.

A view needs a comfortable place from which to appreciate its beauty.

The annual maintenance chores of cleaning, scraping, washing and sealing traditional decking surfaces can be a distraction to the beauty around.
Traditional wood decking surfaces and many composite products suffer the lose of their original beauty and integrity through repeated UV exposure. This requires periodic treatments to the decking materials to extend the products usable life. Although these materials can be attractive, they are not enduring. The alternative is a GratedeX® and PierdeX® Outdoor Floor Systems™ with a stone or tile finish. Unlike the previous materials, this surface finish placed over DexSystems® durable and stable underlayment structure requires no maintenance. In addition, most any interlocking or modular paver grade material can also be dry-laid to achieve the same maintenance-free results. This outdoor solution is as strong underneath as it is on the surface.

Water safe–fresh or salt water–outdoor flooring.

A surface finish the is safe to stand on in all water recreation environments.
In an all water environment, few materials provide a safe and functional surface. Water falls, splashes, evaporates, and condenses on the surface of any adjacent material. A deck-side dock is exposed to all of these conditions. In salt environments, the salt residue deposited on the surface becomes an active corrosive agent. DexSystems® Outdoor Floor Systems™ underlayment system is unaffected. The GratedeX® and PierdeX® outdoor floor panels are a fiber reinforced plastic, inert to moisture and salt saturated moisture. So place it in or near these conditions without concern. In addition, this material is UV stable. Place it as a finished walking surface without any tripping conditions or cover it with any surface material. Looking for a green pool-side deck. Place artificial turf over this underlayment with 100% drainage through the underlayment and a maintenance-free lawn.

Take advantage of the view.

Rooftop outdoor flooring conditions require special considerations for problem free relaxation.
Those flat roof conditions provide optional green outdoor living conditions in an urban setting. But it's often not a simple project. Designed load conditions have to be considered. Proper waterproofing and drainage must be installed. With all of this in place, there is no better way to create the perfect outdoor living room then with the DexSystems® PierdeX® Outdoor Floor Systems™. There are no roof penetrations with this light-weight system. This outdoor floor with its combination of the PierdeX® underlayment panel, the Ped-Tite® pedestal system and Hold-Tite® adhesive creates a solid, level platform for a variety of uses and surface conditions. Consider some of these options: a dry-laid interlocking paver terrace, a thine gauged stone or tile terrace, an artificial turf terraced lawn, a planting bed with drainage, a wood planked veranda or any combination of materials or uses. Get creative. Enjoy the view.
